On September 16, 2025, we visited Jumeirah International Nurseries, located in Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to observe the early childhood learning environment and to exchange professional views.

Inside the classrooms, we saw many handmade teaching materials created by the teachers as part of their daily practice.
These materials reflected thoughtful creativity based on each child’s developmental stage and interests, and the learning environment was carefully designed to support meaningful engagement.

In addition, the spaces actively incorporated natural materials such as wood, fabric, and items from nature.
This environment allowed children to engage independently through all five senses, encouraging exploratory learning and spontaneous trial and error in their everyday activities.

Through this visit, we were able to clearly see the importance of environment design grounded in teachers’ professional expertise, as well as a childcare culture that consistently respects children’s autonomy throughout the entire facility.
It was a truly valuable and meaningful experience for us.
